Terms of Service
Last updated September 23, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Menehune Health — whether you are a clinician building a credential file or a facility looking to hire one. They are written in plain English on purpose. Read section 5 in particular: it says exactly what our verification does and does not mean.

1.Who we are and what this service is
Menehune Health operates a marketplace that connects healthcare providers with facilities that want to hire them directly. Providers keep a credential wallet — licenses, certifications, immunizations and related documents — and control who can see it. Facilities post openings, review credentialed candidates, and hire without a staffing agency in the middle.
Around that marketplace we provide supporting tools: automated checks against public federal registries, nurse license verification through NURSYS, expiration tracking and reminders, in-platform messaging, an exportable credentialing packet, and — for providers already hired through the platform — timekeeping with a manager approval queue.
What we are not. We are not an employer, a staffing agency, a locum tenens agency, a recruiter of record, or any provider’s employer of record. We do not employ providers, assign them to facilities, set pay, supervise clinical work, or direct patient care. We are not a healthcare provider, and this is not a patient system — no patient records or clinical data belong here.
Access is invite-only today. Features will change as the product develops; where a change materially reduces what you get, we will say so rather than let you discover it.
2.Who can use it
To use Menehune Health you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Actually hold every license, certification and credential you claim — in the state, and under the name, you claim it.
- Give accurate account and profile information and keep it current, especially license status and expiration dates.
- Have a valid invitation, since access is invite-only today.
Accounts are personal and not shareable. Do not share your login, let someone else use your account, or create an account on behalf of another clinician. If you sign up for a facility, you are confirming the facility is real and that you are authorized to act for it. Everything done under your login is treated as done by you — keep it secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has gotten in.
3.Free for providers — facilities pay the placement fee
Providers are never charged. Not to join, not to keep your credential wallet, not to run verification, not to apply. There is no provider subscription. If that ever changed, it would not apply to you without your explicit agreement first, and never retroactively.
The platform is funded by facilities. A facility pays a placement fee when it hires through Menehune Health. The fee rate is shown on the job posting and on the placement before the facility confirms the hire, and it appears again on the facility’s invoices. Facilities pay nothing to browse, post or interview — only to hire.
The pay rate a provider sees on a posting is the rate the facility is offering. We do not mark it down and we take no share of it.
4.Your content and your credentials
You own what you upload. Your license PDFs, certifications, résumé, photo, profile text and every other document remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them and we do not sell them.
To run the service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to store, back up, process, display and transmit that content — only for the purpose of operating Menehune Health for you. “Process” includes automated reading: some uploads are passed through AI vision models that extract fields such as license numbers, issue and expiration dates, and vaccine dose dates so you do not have to type them. It also includes running your identifiers against the verification sources in section 5.
Your visibility settings define the audience. We show your profile and credentials only to the viewer categories your settings allow, at the level you choose — full, summary, anonymous or hidden. A facility sees your full identifying details when you have set full visibility for that category, or once you have applied to it or been placed with it. Hiding your profile removes you from search immediately; it does not un-see what a facility already lawfully viewed or downloaded while you were visible to it.
You warrant that what you upload is truthful, current and yours to share: that the documents are genuine and unaltered, that they belong to you, and that giving them to us breaks no one else’s rights and no confidentiality obligation you owe. Do not upload another person’s credentials, and do not upload patient information.
You can replace or delete a document at any time, which removes both the record and the stored file. Deleting content ends the license going forward. It does not reach copies a facility already downloaded, records we are required to keep, or routine backups that age out on their own schedule.
5.Verification — what we check, and what we do not
What we actually do, automatically, where the source supports it:
- NPPES — we confirm an NPI against the national NPI registry.
- OIG LEIE — we check the federal List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.
- SAM.gov — we check the federal exclusions list.
- NURSYS (NCSBN) — for nursing licenses we run primary-source verification and keep monitoring the license afterward. NURSYS is asynchronous, so a result lands within minutes rather than instantly.
A credential marked Verified means one of those checks returned a matching, favorable result at the time it ran. Everything else stays Pending — on file and organized, but not primary-source confirmed. Many credential types have no automated primary source at all; those are provider-supplied documents and are shown as exactly that. A verification is a snapshot of what a third-party source said on a date. Sources go stale, go down and are sometimes wrong, and automated extraction of a document’s fields can misread it. Check the underlying document.
What we are not. Menehune Health is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing we display is a consumer report or investigative consumer report under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. We do not perform criminal background checks, employment or education verifications, reference checks, or drug screening. Where those documents appear in a wallet, the provider uploaded them — we stored them, we did not produce or validate them. If you need a background check or consumer report to make an employment decision, obtain it from a screening company set up to furnish one.
Facilities keep responsibility for their own decisions. Credentialing, privileging, licensure confirmation, screening and the decision to hire are yours. Our checks are a head start and a monitoring aid — not a substitute for your process, your medical staff bylaws, or any legal or accreditation obligation that applies to you. A Verified badge is not clearance to practice at your facility.
To run NURSYS verification we collect a provider’s birth year and the last four digits of their Social Security number. They are used for that purpose only, the SSN digits are encrypted at rest, and neither is ever shown to a facility. The Privacy Policy has the full picture.
6.If you are a facility
Candidate data here is a person’s professional identity, not a lead list. When you use it, you agree to all of the following.
- Use a candidate’s information only to evaluate and engage that candidate for a role at your facility. No other purpose.
- Share it internally only with the people who need it for that evaluation or hire, and keep it protected.
- Do not scrape, crawl, bulk-export, warehouse or resell candidate data, and do not feed it into a separate database or a third-party recruiting product.
- Do not sell, rent or pass candidate information to another employer, agency or broker.
- Do not contact a candidate about anything other than the role you found them for, and do not add them to marketing lists.
- Do not use the platform to identify a candidate and then route the hire around it to avoid the placement fee — including through an affiliate, a subsidiary or a staffing vendor.
- Post real openings with accurate rates, and keep them current.
Your review marks and the hiring paperwork you attach to a candidate stay private to your facility — providers do not see them, and neither does any other facility. That privacy protects your process; it is not a license to record things about a candidate you would not be comfortable defending as a business record.
7.The working relationship is between the provider and the facility
When a facility and a provider agree to work together, that engagement is theirs. They set the rate, the schedule, the scope of duties, the start and end dates, and the terms of any contract between them. Menehune Health is not a party to it.
Classification is theirs too. Whether a provider is engaged as a W-2 employee or a 1099 independent contractor — and everything that follows, including tax withholding, benefits, workers’ compensation, unemployment coverage and malpractice insurance — is decided between the facility and the provider under the law that applies to them. We do not make that determination, we do not employ providers, and we are not an employer of record.
Where the timekeeping tools are used, they record punches and route hours to the facility’s manager for approval. That is record-keeping. The facility remains responsible for the accuracy of hours, for wage and hour compliance, and for paying the provider.
8.Acceptable use
Do not do any of the following. Each is grounds for immediate suspension.
- Upload a false, forged or altered credential, present an expired one as current, or claim a license or certification you do not hold.
- Impersonate another clinician, a facility, or Menehune Health — or misrepresent your affiliation with an organization.
- Share, sell or transfer your account, or use someone else’s login.
- Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or run bots or automated tools against the platform.
- Attempt to reach another user’s account, documents, messages or data — or to probe, scan or bypass authentication, authorization or rate limits.
- Reverse engineer, interfere with or overload the service, or upload malware.
- Upload patient information or protected health information. This is a credentialing and hiring platform; patient data does not belong here.
- Use messaging for spam, solicitations unrelated to a role, or harassing, discriminatory or abusive content.
Credential fraud is the serious one. A falsified license or certification puts patients at risk: we will terminate the account and may report it to the issuing board or to law enforcement.
9.Termination and suspension
You can stop using Menehune Health at any time. A provider can hide their profile immediately from availability settings, which removes them from facility search without deleting anything.
We may suspend or terminate an account — with notice where we reasonably can, and immediately where we cannot — if you breach these terms, if we have a good-faith belief a credential is falsified, if a federal exclusion appears against you, if your use puts other users or the platform at risk, or if the law requires it. Because access is invite-only, we may also decline or revoke an invitation.
When an account ends, access ends. We keep what we are required to keep and what we need to resolve open placements, invoices or disputes; the rest is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Ending an account does not cancel a placement fee already owed, and it does not reach copies a facility lawfully downloaded while the account was active.
Deletion and export are not self-service yet. We have not built the “delete my account” or “export everything” buttons. Today you request either by emailing the address in section 12, and we handle it by hand. We are building the self-service tooling; until it ships, the request route is the honest answer. Individual documents you uploaded can already be deleted yourself, one at a time, from your wallet and file cabinet.
10.Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it correct and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we promise no particular outcome — not that a provider will be hired, that a facility will fill a role, or that a hire will work out.
Verification data comes from third parties: federal registries, state boards and NURSYS. We pass on what those sources return. We do not warrant it is accurate, complete or current, and a source being down or wrong is outside our control. The same goes for what users write about themselves — we do not independently confirm every claim on a profile.
Nothing here is medical, legal, tax, employment or immigration advice. Credentialing, privileging, hiring, classification and compliance decisions are yours to make with your own advisors.
We are not responsible for what happens between a provider and a facility off the platform: the conduct of either party, the terms they agree, unpaid wages, or a workplace dispute.
11.Changes to these terms
When we change these terms substantively we publish a new version rather than quietly editing this one. Each version carries a date, and the version you agreed to is recorded against your account — so “who agreed to what, and when” stays answerable after an edit.
Acceptance is recorded when you create your account. If we publish a materially different version we may ask you to accept it before you continue using the platform, and we will give reasonable notice of significant changes. Minor corrections — a typo, a clearer sentence — may be made without a new version.
